Hemorrhoids are classified as internal, located inside the rectum, and external, which develop under the skin around the anus. There are several effective treatment options for hemorrhoids.

The veins around the anus tend to stretch under pressure, leading to the formation of hemorrhoids. Factors that may increase this pressure include:

– Straining during bowel movements.

– Sitting for extended periods on the toilet.

– Chronic diarrhea or constipation.

– Obesity.

– Pregnancy.

– A low-fiber diet.

Hemorrhoids are divided into:

1. Internal hemorrhoids, which are those located inside the rectum,

2. External hemorrhoids, which develop under the skin around the anus. There are many effective treatment options for hemorrhoids.

In most cases, hemorrhoids can be treated at home with lifestyle changes. However, sometimes medication or surgery is necessary.

If hemorrhoids are causing only mild discomfort, a doctor may prescribe creams, ointments, or suppositories. These products contain ingredients such as hydrocortisone, which can provide at least temporary relief from pain and itching.

If a blood clot has formed inside an external hemorrhoid, a doctor can remove it through a small incision, which can provide immediate relief.

For persistent bleeding or painful hemorrhoids, a doctor may perform another procedure.

If other methods are unsuccessful or the hemorrhoids are large, surgery may be necessary.
